The families of teens unaccounted for after a devastating fire at a establishment in a Switzerland's ski resort are facing an painful wait for official news and appealing for clues about their loved ones online.
The fire engulfed the a popular bar in the alpine resort, located in the Alps of south-west Switzerland, in the small hours of New Year's Day. Circulated video show the roof structure catching alight as bottles with sparklers are raised in celebration.
Officials have indicated that it could take considerable time to identify the fatalities of the fire, which resulted in the death of four dozen individuals and hurt another scores more. Officials noted on the latest update that 113 of the injured have been accounted for, with work still underway to identify the other six.

Giovanni Tamburi, sixteen, is also among the missing. His mother told reporters that he had been on vacation but had gone out with friends and ended up at the bar.
"Someone with him told me they ran away after the fire started and that he had his phone with him, but then at a specific moment he couldn't see him anymore," she said, adding he had been wearing a distinctive piece of jewelry.

Alice Kallergis, who holds both Swiss and Greek citizenship but lives permanently in the country, was also at the bar on that night, according to sources.
Her brother has posted an appeal on social media, saying the family has had "no news" regarding the 15-year-old or the three friends she was with, who are also reported missing.
