On Monday, the tribunal heard call records and data recovered from phones recorded Ms Wandelt consistently requesting Madeleine's mother for a biological test during the past two years.

Madeleine's case in 2007 - as a three-year-old during a vacation in Portugal - is considered the most covered missing child cases and remains unsolved.

'I Don't Want Money'

Another voicemail, played in court, documented Ms Wandelt stating: "I know I'm heavy and not pretty like Madeleine used to be, but I know what I know."

While one recording of Ms Wandelt's recordings with Mrs McCann's answerphone expressed: "What if there is a small chance that I am Madeleine? Then what? Isn't that important for you?"

"I do not need money, I have a life here in Poland, I only wish to discover," the recording stated.

The panel was advised that through emails, text messages and phone calls, Ms Wandelt demanded a biological test, forwarded childhood photos to her phone in a attempt to demonstrate a resemblance to Mrs McCann's vanished daughter, and asserted to have "flashbacks" from a youth with the McCanns.

An intelligence analyst, an intelligence analyst with law enforcement who collated the evidence, informed the court there "seemed to lack any responses" from Mrs McCann.

Ms Wandelt also reached out to close associates of the McCanns, as per the phone records.

On 9 October 2024, Gerry McCann answered a phone call from Ms Wandelt to his wife's phone, saying she had "the wrong phone."

That day Ms Wandelt left a message on Mrs McCann's voicemail declaring "I will persist and I plan to establish my position."

Court proceedings

The court heard Mrs Spragg established a relationship online with Ms Wandelt prior to assisting her on a visit to the McCanns' property in the county in last December.

Phone records revealed Mrs Spragg had reached out through messaging service to Mrs McCann to say the news outlets had characterized Ms Wandelt as "mentally unstable" but that she should be considered genuine in the time leading up to the appearance to that location, Leicestershire, in December 2024.

The court heard correspondence between the two defendants, in November 2024, considering trying to obtain Mrs McCann's genetic material from her garbage or from silverware at a eating establishment.

"We must make a stand," the co-defendant told Ms Wandelt.

On the evening of the visit to their home, the defendant transmitted a text which said: "We're currently positioned near the McCanns' residence with our headlights off similar to private investigators. I desired to achieve this with Peter Andrew I never thought I would be doing that with the McCanns."

The proceedings proceeds.
